PERMIM has launched the “SOCIO ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT “ project to help the IM community facing challenges to pursue their education for lack of funds, start a business or sustain it for lack of capital and the needy who cannot afford to feed their family because they lack income. Our community does not lack generous people. Historically following the basic tenets of Islam they have helped to fund educational institutes, empowerment of women, helped budding entrepreneurs , wakaf properties as source of funds to help dakwa activities and charity.
PERMIM seeks to harness the generosity of our community to help secure funds on a continuous basis to distribute to those in need
Our motto is UNITE – CONTRIBUTE – RISE
The proposal is for our successful entrepreneurs and professionals to contribute to PERMIM on a monthly basis for a minimum period of one or two years
The fund will be utilized as follows
1) 20 percent will be used to help the needy to get out of poverty and become income generators
2) 20 percent will be used to support individuals with the necessary skills and ideas to venture into business. This injection of capital need to repaid after the venture becomes successful. We also expect these successful entrepreneurs to become contributors
3) 20 percent will be used to provide study grants/loans for financially distressed students
4) 15 percent will be used to provide ad-hoc support of those in need of emergency and immediate assistance
Not more than 5 percent will be set aside for administrative purposes
As a minimum we are targeting individuals to contribute at least RM 100 per month for a period of one or two years which is just RM 3 per day. Of course higher monthly contributions or lump sum contributions are most welcome. Your contribution would help to uplift our IM families and reduce poverty
