Takwa guarantees success and excellence for Muslims. In the chapter al-Talaq verse 2 to 3, God says, “And whosoever fears Allah and keeps his duty to Him (takwa), He will make a way for him to get out (from every difficulty), And He will provide him sustenance from (sources) he never could imagine” Imam Ahmad reported from Abu Zar, “The Prophet read this verse to me (Abu Zar), and he said, ‘O Abu Zar, if people held firm to this verse, it is sufficient for them”.

உலகத்தின் எல்லா பாகங்களில் இருந்தும் லட்சக்கணக்கான மக்கள் ஹஜ் எனும் புனித பயணத்தை ஒவ்வொரு வருடமும் மேற்கொள்வதை நாம் காணுகின்றோம். பொருளாதார பலமும் உடல் ஆரோக்கியமும் கொண்ட முஸ்லிம்கள் மீது ஹஜ் கடமை என்று இஸ்லாமிய மார்க்கம் வலியுறுத்துகின்றது. இந்த பயணத்தின் நோக்கம் என்ன என்பதை நாம் விளங்கவேண்டுமெனில், நபி இப்ராஹீம் (அலை) அவர்களின் வாழ்வை நாம் தெரிந்து கொள்ள வேண்டும். இறை நம்பிக்கை என்ற ஒரு கோட்பாட்டை நாவினால் மட்டும் நவின்று விட்டு செல்லாமல் தன் வாழ்நாள் முழுவதையும் அதன் அடிப்படையில் அமைத்து வாழ்ந்து காட்டிச் சென்ற ஓர் ஒப்பற்ற இறைத்தூதர். தான் மட்டும் அல்லாமல் தன் குடும்பத்தையும் அதன் அடிப்படையில் அமைத்தார்கள்.
Western personalities are aware of the greatness of the Muslim ummah. In his book The Making of Humanity, Robert Briffault praised the Muslims by saying, ‘Spain and not Italy, was the cradle of the rebirth of Europe. After sinking lower and lower into barbarism, it had reached the darkest depths of ignorance and degradation whereas the cities of the Saracens – Baghdad, Cairo, Cordova, Toledo, were growing centres of civilization and intellectual activity. It was there that the new life arose which has to grow into a new phase of human evolution. From the time when the influence of their culture made itself felt, began the stirrings of new life.”
